SINGAPORE LIST

CHANGI PRISON CAMP

The R.N.Z.A.F. Public Relations Officer attached to the South-east Asia Command has talked to a number of New Zealanders who have been released from Changi Prison Camp, Singapore. A list of these men, made available during the weekend by the Minister of Defence (Mr. Jones), is given below. There are, however, many more New Zealanders in other prisoner-of-war camps in the area, and about 60 civilian internees are known to be in one large Malayan camp alone. Some of the New Zealanders mentioned are members of various branches of the United Kingdom, Australian, Malayan, and Indian Forces. The list is as follows: — NAVY.
