PANAMA OIL PIPELINE

Rec. 10 a.m. WASHINGTON, Sept. 7. The construction is nearly completed of a 46-mile pipeline across the Panama Isthmus. The project cost 20,000,000 dollars. It will guarantee fuel for the Pacific Fleet in case the canal is the victim of enemy action. The "New York Times" correspondent said the pipeline has been used for pumping fuel since the early stages of construction and was of immense value during the war.
