PUBLIC INVESTITURE

His Excellency ' the GovernorGeneral will hold a public investiture in the Town Hall this evening at which decorations will be presented to officers and other ranks of the Armed Forces. The ceremony will commence at 8 o'clock, and the procedure will be similar to that followed at the investiture held in Wellington last year. The public are invited to be present, and accommodation will be available for them in the dress circle and other parts of the hall. The front rows of'seats on the ground floor have been reserved for special guests and other ticket holders. Personnel, of the W.R.N.S., W.A.A.C, and W.A.A.F. will be on duty as ushers.
