JUBILEE CUP

THIRD ROUND DRAW

The decision to leave the draw for the two games in the third round ot the Jubilee Cup to circumstances was made by the management committee of the Wellington Rugby Union at a meeting last night. In introducing the subject, Mr. H. Murphy asked if any definite arrangement had been made for the draw m the third round. As far as he could see the fairest method would be to place the names of the four leading teams in a hat and let them draw foe the games. ■ T,T _„„ . ~ The chairman. Mr. J. N. Millard, disagreed with the suggestion. It would be fairer, he said, to leave the issue to circumstances. It would not be fair if the teams at the top of the ladder should not have to meet the team with the next highest tally of points, he Advice was received from the Horowhenua Union that September 8 would be a suitable date for their match with a Hardham Cup team, to be played at Levin. i^___
