DUTCH QUEEN'S ILLNESS

The Queen is now able to get up occasionally and hold ...short talks and consultations. Princess Juliana added that the war years had been hard for the Queen, and she hoped that a long rest would result in a complete cure.
TANGIER TALKS POSTPONED
Rec. 12.45 p.m. LONDON, August 5. The three-Power conference on Tangier,, which was due to begin in Paris tomorrow, has been postponed until the weekend. This step was taken following a request from the new British Government, which wishes to review the situation before the conference proceeds further.
Joseph Michael Nolan, labourer, 46, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court today to a charge of being unlawfully in the messroom of the Miramar Gasworks and was sentenced to two months' imprisonment by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M. It was stated that the accused had been found asleep in the gasworks on Saturday night. He had beea there on Tuesday and Thursday of last week, also, and had been warned.
