WRECKED YACHTSMAN IFINED
LONDON, August 3.
Wilfred Henry Weeks appeared at St;-fives' on charges arising out of the voyage* of the 10-ton yacht Susannah. A,h'9val vessel picked.up father and son:;from a crippled yacht, off the Canary Islands. Weeks was fined a total of £30 for embarking elsewhere than.-at an approved port and embark'frjg without leave.
HJ/LS. Philocretes encountered the yacht in a derelict,, unmanageable condition with the distress flag flying frdni':', .a broken mast late in June. Weeks said then that his son had been gravely injured during a storm. The naval'rship took them off and sank the yacht -by gunfire. Weeks, who is a dentist, had.a sugar estate in Trinidad, and* it was presumed that he was going. there. "'
