MUSIC RECITAL.

A well-planned programme of music by modern British composers will be presented In the Lecture Hall of the Public Library tomorrow at, 8 p.m. Phyllis Mander, soprano, of Christchurch, will include songs by Hubert Parry and Delius, Vaughan Williams and Quilter ("Now Sleeps the Crimson Petal") in her two groups, while Betty Sicely, 'cellist, of Marton, will be heard in the first movement from the 'Cello Sonata by John Ireland. Bessie Pollard will offer a variety of pianoforte works, including "Music for a Fantastic Bajlet," by John Locke. The recital will be presented ,by the Soroptimist Club of Wellington.
