BOWLING COUNCIL
CENTRE REPRESENTATION
The Wellington Bowling Centre met on Tuesday. A remit received from the Gisborne-East Coast Centre, to be submitted to the annual meeting of the association in Christchurch in July, proposed to amend rule 9 by deleting portion of it, and substituting the following: "Pro.portionate representation from all centres affiliated with the N.Z.B.A. to be as follows: Centres with a membership of 650 or less to be represented by one councillor, centres with more than 650 members and up to 1300 by two councillors, centres with more than 1300 members and up to 2000 by three councillors, centres with 2000 members or more by four councillors, councillors to be elected annually."
Mr. A. Fletcher moved that the remit be not approved, and that as an amendment to it the centre adopt the motion passed by it in 1941 to amend the constitution by provision for each centre to be represented by one delegate, with the exception of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin, these centres to have two delegates each, and each delegate to be entitled to a vote. The motion was carried. A vote of thanks to Mr. Guise for his presidency during the year was carried on the motion of Mr. J. Norrie.
