LATE LIEUT.-COL. McHUGH
A tribute to the late LieutenantColonel McHugh, commandant of Trentham Military Camp, was paid today by the Minister of Defence (Mr Jones).
"By the death of Lieutenant-Colonel H. D. McHugh," said the Minister "the Army Department has lost a most capable and efficient officer and one who was held in very high esteem. He served with distinction in the last war and was ever ready to pass on to others the benefit of the knowledge and experience he had gained. He was always interested in matters affecting the welfare and pom fort of the men in the different camm which he controlled, and took a Ser sonal pride in improving the sur roundings and amenities of the camn v "5? waL very PoPular with his brother officers and there are many Territorial officers who are indebted t-n him for the guidance and advice he so willingly offered to them.
