OUTBREAK OF INFANTILE PARALYSIS

SYDNEY, February 27.

A warning of a possible outbreak of an infantile paralysis epidemic has been issued by.the health authorities. This year there have been 22 cases in the Sydney metropolitan area, 11 having been reported last .week. Two cases were reported yesterday.

The Metropolitan Medical Health Officer, emphasising the seriousness of the position, said that last year there was only one-third of the number of cases which were reported in the first two months of this year.
