DOMINATES OVERDUE WIN

(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.) MELBOURNE, December 2.

The former New Zeaalnd horse Dominate (Phaleron Bay—Martial Lady) had his first win in Australia at Mentone on Saturday when he scored in the Lichfield Handicap, 1-mile. He has been a great disappointment since coming to Victoria.

The four-year-old mare Simmering (Hellespont—Geyser), who was to be retired to the stud as she had not won a race since last October, scored a runaway win in the Ascot Cup from Cavallo and Pickway. There were 15 runners, and Simmering won by five lengths.
