COMPETITIONS SOCIETY
'It is a pleasure to be able to report that in the year we are winding up we have produced a reasonable profit," said Mr. E. R. Myers, the retiring president, in his report at the annual meeting of the Wellington Competitions Society last night. "It is important, I think, as having some bearing on our survival and retaining our position as the premier society in the Dominion, to remember that throughout the lean years, although we had to economise in many other directions, we did not lower the standard of adjudication," said Mr. Myers. "We have been well served by the most competent adjudicators available, and this undoubtedly has been a factor in influencing the number of entries in the various classes." Officers were: elected as follows:— President, Mr. H. E. Brooker; vice-pre. sident, Mr. J. A. Martin; treasurer, Mr. F. Turner; executive, Messrs. E R. W re r^ s 'J' W- Carr > Barton Ginger, J. W. Telford, W. J. Prouse, F. H. Gruar. G. Johansen, A. T. Charles, W. I. Cunninghame, H. Mustchin, H. Hatch R. Pumfrey; M. J. Reardon; F. W. Skeet, F. H. Hayward, S. G. Creswell; life member, Mr. G. W. Morgan
