PETONE BOAT SHED SITES

Mr. H. Firth, Town Clerk, Petone, reported to his council last evening that there was a considerable demand for sites on the foreshore on which boat sheds could be built Some persons who had rented sites were slow in erecting sheds, and he considered a time limit should be imposed in which the sheds were to be erected. Other owners of sheds were using -them as weekend baches contrary to the provisions of their leases. The reserves committee was instructed to view the locality and report to the council on extra sites which might be available, and also in regard to the use being made of present- sites and buildings.
