DEATH OF GOLD FLIGHT

The seven-year-old gelding Gold Flight, who was owned and trained by Mr. D. G. Nyhan, died.at Petone early this week. The Rey de Oro— Slapfast gelding was bred by. Mr. F. E. Ward at Pahiatua, but he did all his racing in the interests of Mr. Nyhan, winning eight races and £2460 in stake-money. Last season Gold Flight got on the winning list five times, his successes coming in the Islington Handicap, the Victoria Handicap, and Le Lievre Handicap, all being twomile races at New Zealand Metropolitan meetings at Addington, the King George Handicap, 2 miles, at Forbury Park, and the .Railway Handicap, 1| miles, at Canterbury Park.
