WOMAN KILLED BY TRAIN
P.A. AUCKLAND, October '5. Struck by the Wellington express at the Papatoetoe railway station shortly before 3.30 p.m. today, Miss Joana Nicklinson, 39, Point Chevalier, was killed instantly. A few minutes before the accident Miss Nicklinson was seen standing on the platform of the station, but it is not known how she came to be on the line.
Donations towards the college funds were yesterday received by the Board of Managers of the Hutt Valley Memorial Technical College from General Motors (N.Z.), Ltd., Gear .Meat Co., Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Board Lever Bros. (N.Z.), Ltd.,. Ford Motor Co. (N.Z.), Ltd., Todd Motor Industries, Ltd., ana N.Z. Motor Bodies, Ltd.
