MENTION IN DISPATCHES
The King has approved of the award of Mention in Dispatches to Temporary Lieutenant John Lissant-Clayton, Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve for good service in salvage operations, according to advice received by the Minister of Defence (Mr. Jones) from the Admiralty.
Lieutenant Lissant-Clayton joined the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve as a temporary lieutenant on September 29, 1941, and he was appointed overseas on loan to the Royal Navy on May 13,; 1942. He was born on January 17, 1911, and in civil life was/an electrical, engineer. His next-of-kin is^ his wife, Mrs. . Dorothy G Lissant-Clayton, care the manager National Bank of New Zealand, Napier!
