MR. CURTIN'S RECORD
SYDNEY, October 2. Mr. J. Curtin has completed nine years in office as leader of the Commonwealth Federal Parliamentary Labour Party, which is a-record term. There have been only seven leaders of the party since federation. The late Mr. A. Fisher was leader for eight years and Mr. J.. H. Scullin for seven and a half years.
This week' Mr. Curtiri will complete three years as Prime Minister. His Government has seen only one change in personnel since he took office. The change occurred when the Minister of Information (Mr. Caldwell) defeated the former Minister-of Transport (Mr. Lawson) at the party ballot which followed the last elections.
