Patriotic Shop
Mrs. L. F. Hunt, convener of the Patriotic Shop in Manners Street during the Victoria League's week ending on September 16, wishes to thank all those who sent goods and helped to make the week such a success The thanks of the president (Mrs. J A Doctor) and the committee of the Victoria League are also extended to the helpers. The winning numbers of the rallies conducted during the week are advertised in this issue
Wellington South Happiness Club
An enjoyable afternoon function was held yesterday in the Trinity Methodist Church Hall, when the Wellington South branch of the' Happiness Club celebrated its fourth birthday with a party. Mrs. Appleton (Mayoress), who was guest of honour, was welcomed by Mrs. McFadyen (presiH,wt 3f d ££ S> McL.ell an (assistant director). After an interesting talk by Mrs. Appleton, a bright musical programme was presented, followed by afternoon tea.
