WEDDING
HANCOX—KOSER
On July 25, at St. Anne's Church, I Northland, Gladys Agnes, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. H. Roser, was married to Signalman Douglas H. Hancox (on furlough Pacific), fourth son I of Mr. and Mrs. F. Hancox, of Tapa- '■ nui, Otago. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. L. N. Watkins. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a bridal' gown of white shadow paterned faconne over blue, the lace-edged veil forming a tr,ain and her coronet of cyclamen and tuber roses matching her bouquet. Her attendants were Miss Marie Nixon, in dusky pink matt crepe with a coronet and bouquet of rose tonings, and little Jenifer Hancox as flower-girl in a long white frock with hand-worked I rosebuds and a posy and coronet. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. S. Hancox. During the signing of the register JJust For Today" was sung by Mrs. M. Daniel. Mrs. Roser and Mrs. F. Hancox received the guests at the Oddfellows' 1 H*J\. a?d after the reception the bride and bridegroom left for the north, the bride travelling in a blue tweed coat with navy accessories.
