SOCCER AFTER THE WAR
An informal meeting Avas held last night by the Wellington Referees Association -with members of the w.£.A. and the NeAV Zealand Council, to discuss all aspects of the game in Wellington and plans for increasing its popularity and scope after the Avar. The discussions covered a Avide variety of subjects and the groundwork was laid for further discussions at a later date. -Mr. E. McQueen- presided. At a prior meeting of the management committee of the W.F.A. it was reported that a letter had been received from the commanding officer of the Air Force camp concerned in tlie recent visit of the 'earn to Wellington, expressing appreciation for the hospitality extended. ■ ■ The NeAV Zealand Referees' Association wrote stating that they did not approve of an active referee acting on the management committee of a club.
