RUSSIANS MASSING
EASTERN LULL DECEPTIVE LONDON, May 17. For many hundreds of miles on the Eastern Front, only the rumble of artillery and patrols give any hint of the Russian offensives to come, but behind the Russian lines the lull of the past month has been a lull in name only, while men and material have been massing. Moscow dispatches tell of Soviet forces rehearsing and perfecting their tactics for the next big push.
