COMMANDED NAVAL FORCE
(Special P.A. Correspondent) Rec. 12.30 p.m. LONDON, May 12. Lieutenant M. V. Rout, R.N.Z.N.V.R. (Nelson), who recently was awarded the D.S.C., commanded the light coastal force which the Admiralty states [encountered and attacked a strong force of enemy patrol vessels during offensive sweeps off the Dutch coast on the morning of May 11.. Two trawlers were severely damagedisy gunfire and one was left Burning fiercely.
