TROOPING THE COLOUR
The presentation on Sunday at the Basin Reserve of Trooping the Colour will be the eleventh performance' of this thrilling, musical, spectacular, and Impressive pageant. Sir Harry Batteruee, High Commissioner for Great Britain, who took the . salute at tills ceremony at New Plymouth last Sunday, consider,? it as the finest display of its type he has ever witnessed. Already over 100,000 people have paid to see it. There is the thrill of all Umpire flags on -parade,,and many of our gallant'ailie.s. The Jtussian and Chinese, flags have special prominence, their colour bearers being in national costume. Tho Air Force Band, Trentham Band, and Police Pipe Band will be in attendance. In addition, 400 personnel, including the A.T.C., the St. Patrick's College Silvcrstream jjattallon, and tho Wellington and Lower Hutt Inter-house Girls, will take. part.. Tho Mayor of Wellington will take the salute. Xo seals are being 'The proceeds go to.the Metropolitan Patriotic Fund. « .
