ASSASSINS SEEK AIRMEN
CHUNGKING, March 5. The Japanese are sending bands of paid gunmen through the Chinese lines to murder American officers, especially flyers, according to a warning given by Chinese military officials to the American air force. At least 200 specially-trained killers disguised bs Chinese peasants have been assigned to certain regions where they are receiving wages of 400 Chinese dollars daily with liberal bonuses for killing officers. Both Chinese and Americans are taking general security measures.
