JAPS DIG WATER BARRIER
CHUNGKING, March 6. The Japanese in north China have started digging a new cpurse for the Yellow River, diverting it to Wei and thence to the sea, 100 miles north of j the present mouth. The newspaper! "Saotang Pao" explains that by building this water barrier the Japanese are preparing for a last-ditch stand in north China.
