U.S. NAVY ORDERS 20

Rec. 9 a.m. NEW YORK, Jan. 26. Arriving at Alameda, California, the 70-ton flying-boat Mars completed the first round trip to Hawaii. Its flying time was 27 hours 26 minutes, and the cargo carried was over njne tons, which is twice the load ever flown across the Pacific. The petrol consumption was most economic. The top speed range is a secret, but it is known that the flying-boat could fly from Midway Island to Tokio and return without refuelling. ~ , The navy has ordered 20 identical places.
