Rec. 2 p.m. RUGBY, January 20. At Buckingham Palace, the King received General Eisenhower on his appointment as supreme Allied commander of the British and United States forces for the liberation of Europe. Air Chief Marshal Mallory was also received on his appointment as Air Commander-in-Chief in the West.—B.O.W.
