CAMP HOLIDAY
LEVIN MEMORIAL HOME
Mrs. E. H. M. Luke presided at the December meeting of the Levin Memorial Home Committee. The matron reported that the girls attended a review of St. John Ambulance Brigade and that all gained certificates. It had been possible, through the generosity of many kind donors, for the children to enjoy outings to beaches, reserves, and to attend concerts, and through the kindly interest of the Rev. Harry Squires, arrangements were made for the girls to spend a fortnight at Solway Camp, Masterton. Two girls were adopted during the year and had gone to happy homes in the country. The committee expressed its gratitude for gifts and monetary donations to the Rotary Club, Commercial Travellers' Association, Marsden School, Arts and Crafts Section Blue Bird Happiness Club, National Utilisation of Waste Depot, staff Dominion Physical Laboratory, Petone girls of railway head office, Ridgway School, Mrs. R. W. Kane, 4292, Miss Archibald, Mrs. Henry Hall, Mrs. Johnston, Mrs. M. E. Chisholm, Mrs. Needham, sen., Miss Beere, St. Cuthbert's Bible Class, Trinity Girls' Bible Class, City Mission, Miss Nathan, Happiness Club, Mrs. Innes (Mornington), Cosy Cake Shop, Tip Top Ice Cream Co., Mr. Yates, and Mr. Knudsen.
