At the Town Hall tonight the Royal Wellington Choral Union will bring its 1943 season to a close with a performance of Handel's'lmmortal masterpiece "The Messiah," with a chorus and orchestra of 350 performers under the baton of Mr. Stanley Oliver. Owing to the exceptionally heavy booking holders of reserved tickets are asked to be in their seats not later than 7.50. in order to enable the performance to commence punctually at 8 o'clock. A strong cast 6f soloists has been secured from the fo\ir main centres, and are as follows: —Soprano, Miss Rosaleen Hlckmott, Wellington; contralto. Miss Colleen Challls, Auckland; tenor, Mr. Thomas E. West, Christchurch ; baritone, Mr. Russell J. ' Laurenson. The doors will open at 7.15 and the oratorio will conclude about 10.30.
