TWINS IN AIR FORCE
GISBORNE'S THREE SETS
O.C. GISBORNE, This Day. With the promotion of Flying Officer Wallace Spencer to flight lieutenant,, 1 further distinction has "been gained for the third set of Gisborne twins serv-, ing in the Air Force. Flight Lieu-, tenant Spencer, twin son of Mrs. H. M. Spencer, of Gisborne, gained his wings in Canada and after a period of ser-/ vice in England returned to Canada; as an instructor. His twin brother,. Geoffrey, is a leading aircraftman inj New Zealand.
The other Gisborne twins to gain dis~. tinction in the war are the Gray and Singer twins. Wing Commander Colin F. Gray, D.5.0., D.F.C., and bar, is the leading New Zealand fighter pilot with 27§ confirmed victories, while his brother, the late Flying Officer Kenneth N. Gray, D.F.C., Czech War Cross, lost, his life in flying operations three years ago- _ ._■ . _ _
Flying Officers A. M. and P. L. Singer, 'both D.F.C., are bomber pilots, who have a fine record over enemy' territory in Europe.
