GIRLS ON U.S. LAUNCH
Two girls foYuid with United States sailors on an American Navy launch in mid-harbour one night last month were today convicted by Mr.. W. F. Stilwell, 5.M.,. in the Magistrate's Goilrt and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within six months. The charge, to which they pleaded guilty, was that they boarded the naval launch without a permit. The Magistrate suppressed their names at their Senior-Sergeant G. J. Paine said that the naval launch was noticed without lights about 9.30 p.m. in a prohibited part of the harbour. A police launch found the girls on board with two sailors who were being dealt with by their own authorities. The men had taken the launch without authority.
