BASKETBALL CONTEST

Outdoor and indoor basketball teams from thu Y.W.C.A. at Palmerston North and Napier were the guests of the Wellington Y.W.C.A. last weekend. Although the weather was not Wellington's best, the games were played according to schedule. Wellington were beaten by Palmerston North in every game, but won against Napier. On Saturday evening the visitors were entertained at the "Y.F.H." Club and Gaiety Club, and on Sunday all met at the Y.W.C.A. for dinner. In the afternoon they were shown over the Woburn hostels and entertained there to afternoon tea.
