SOLDIER REMANDED.
CLOTHING COUPON CASE
Rec. 1130 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 20. Lieutenant E. G. Savage, of the R.A.S.C., was remanded on a charge of having stolen 1495 clothing coupons, representing about 5,000,000 clothing units, from a London depot. He was also charged with receiving property knowing it to have been stolen.
MR. CHURCHILL'S TRIP HOME Rec. 12.50 p.m.- RUGBY, Sept. 20. It is revealed that Mr. Churchill returned from the United States in the battlecruiser Renown and landed at a north-western port. It is also stated that he went to Canada by sea. The Admiralty states: "The First Sea Lord, Sir Dudley Pound, who returned with Mr. Churchill, is unwell, and has been admitted to hospital for treatment."—B.O.W.

Mr. Churchill has had a Cabinet meeting in London, the first since his return to this country.
