The information that there is .only one film of South Island scenic: attractions in the Government's film library was given to the Emergency Committee of the South Island's Travel Association at a recent meeting. The committee had before it a letter from, the Education Department stating that the Department w.as anxious to secure: film strips of South Island scenic attractions. With the exception of one of. Hanmer, the letter added, there were no film strips of the South Island in the Government's library. The, pre-; sident (Mr. H. L. Gibson) stated that nine film strips would be required adequately to cover the whole of the island.
