COLLEGE RUGBY.
A Rugby match between teams from Rongotai College and Wairarapa College, played at Kilbirnie yesterday, was won by the home team by 14 points to 3. It was during the second spell that Rongotai built up their winning margin, the visitors having shown up to advantage in the first spell, though without realising tries from good combined work. For the winners Mellish scored two tries, one of which was converted Denton, and Tomline kicked two"penalty goals. Hemi kicked a penalty goal for Wairarapa.
Miss N. Bree, factory hand, 55 Riverside Drive, Lower Hutt, was knocked down by a bus in Wainui Road, Lower Hutt, this afternoon and was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance suffering from concussion and shock.
Sergeant J. W. McHolm, Lower Hutt, is at present on artnual leave and Sergeant J. C. Fletcher is in temporary charge during, his absence.
