GERMANY'S BIG TASK
THREE-FRONT WAR NOW
LONDON, August 4.
The German military commentator General Dietmar, in a broadcast over Berlin radio, referred to a three-front' war against Germany—the war in the east and in the south and in the skies over Germany proper.., "What our opponents have attempted to spring upon us since the outbreak .of the war has for the first time taken shape," he said. "Attacks* have been launched simultaneously and from several directions against the European area held by Germany and her allies and expanded by them since 1939. lOur most important weapon— our reserves—has to be held back till finally the weakest spot is discovered where the defender can be felled by a stroke aimed at his very heart, but the difficulties are great."
