"UNABATED FURY"
BERLIN RADIO REPORT Rec. noon. LONDON, August 4. Berlin radio declared: "The Russians are continuing their attacks on "the Orel front with unabated fury., and have extended the offensive zone to the Kfomy sector, south-west of the city. Our troops are applying elastic tactics against the onslaught of large forces of Russian infantry and tanks. The Germans at some points have been forced to yield ground, but our lines are unbroken. At other points the Germans have formed hedgehog positions from which they launched thrusts against a deep flank of the enemy. Heavy Russian drumfire and -air raids go on continuously."
