LAND BILL
MAY COME DOWN TODAY
The keenly-awaited Bill dealing with land matters may possibly be introduced in the House of Representatives today. It is said to be a fairly lengthy measure.
It is understood that provision will be made in the Bill for the control of sales and leases of land, and for the settlement of discharged servicemen. It is also understood that the Bill takes power to acquire land for settlement of discharged servicemen and that it sets out the general procedure in this connection. ' There is also the likelihood of the I.C. and A. Amendment Bill being regorted back from the Labour Bills ommittee today. It is understood that among other measures yet to come before the House this session is a Workers' Compensation Amendment Bill.
