BAN LIFTED
RACING IN S. AUSTRALIA
(By Telograph—Press Association —Copyright) Rec. 1.30 p.m. ADELAIDE, July 21.
The State Cabinet has decided to lift the South Australian ban on horse racing. The ban was imposed on March of last year by Premier Playford because of a man-power shortage. It is believed it will be two or three months before racing is resumed as racecourses must be put in order, horses prepared for racing, and manpower arranged. No physically fit man will be made available. The question of the future of betting shops has not been decided. When the ban was imposed there were more than 300 betting shops in the State.
