THEF TO £50
Kuini Rewi, married woman, 36, was admitted to probation for' twelve months by Mr. J.,L. Stout, S.M.. in the Magistrate's Court yesterday after she had pleaded guilty to the theft of £50 belonging to a Hindu. DetectiveSergeant W. McLennan:, said that the Hindu visited the defendant's house while under the influence of liquor. His wallet.fell out of his pocket without his knowledge, and the defendant hid it and later spent £25 of. the money. An order was made for restitution, of the amount not recovered.
