NO TYRES FOR JOY-RIDING
It, was' incorrect that people were getting tyres for joy-riding, stated the Minister of Supply and Munitions; (Mr. Sullivan) * iri: the House of Representatives yesterday z1 afternoon.
Mr.- H. S. Kyle (Independent, Riccartbh) had'said that he had had a letter from, a farmer whp complained of difficulty in obtaining'tyres or retreads for his trucks, and yet, the farmer said, it .appeared that .there Were other people in his.locality who were able to get tyres for their ■ motorrcars which they-used'to-'go the races, dances, and,so on. .
■ Mr: Stilliyan said there-were no tyres for joy-riding or pleasure. ■< Mr: Kyle: All right; I shall hand the ;letter 4to the Minister and rhe can make further inquiries. -
