TWO DAYS TO ENGLAND
LONDON, July 2. The world's biggest airliner, which is now being built by the Bristol Aeroplane Company, will enable the introduction of a two-day service between Britain and Australia, with only four stops for refuelling. This is predicted by the designer of the plane, Mr. Leslie JFrise. , Special engines developing a total of 20,000 horse-power .will give the airliner a cruising speed of from 250 to 300 miles an hoitr^ Using only a small part of the maximum power. The machine will be an all-metal mono-1 plane, and will carry a crew of 15 and 150 passengers by day and from 70 to 15 at night. Mr. Frise predicts that the airliner will make possible a non-subsidised passenger service between London and New York at £50 for a single fare.
