PEACE APPEAL
SECRET ITALIAN RADIO
Rec. 10 a.m. LONDON, July 1. The secret Italian radio station "Milan Liberty" broadcast an appeal urging the Italian people, to break, with Hitlerism ..and make- peace with the democracies, says Algiers radio. The appeal declared that Mussolini was responsible for a situation which was a prelude to catastrophy and that it was necessary and possible to get out of the'war and make an end of the senseless sacrifice of soldiers and of the country. The appeal urged workers to sabotage factories and peasants to resist requisitioning. ~•:.•:
