SOLDIERS' PAY
Social Security Fund
The announcement was made in the House of Representatives by the Minister of Finance (Mr. Nash) last night that a payment of Is in the £ on soldiers' pay and allowances is being made from the War Expenses Account to the Social Security Fond to cover benefits to the soldier and his family.
The Leader of the Opposition (Mr. Holland) asked if this referred only to soldiers in New Zealand.
"No," replied the Minister. "All soldiers and their dependants are concerned."

I believe we are on the road io. a better world, but it depends on you and me and the yous and mes in all other countries. I believe it can be done."
