REPEATED ATTACKS MADE

Rec. 12.20 p.m. RUGBY, June 28. A United States Navy Department communique states; "Army Liberators early on Sunday bombed the Bum area, Munda, and New Georgia while Navy Liberators carried out attacks against Ballale in the Shortland area. The results of these attacks were hot observed, ;

"Before dawn Navy Avengers bombed Rekata Bay on Santa Isabel Island. Navy Dauntlesses and Avengers attacked Munda. Hits were scored on the runway and revetment area. "Dauntlesses and Avengers attacked Vila on Kulambangara. Hits were scored on the runway and in the camp area.

"On Saturday Army Liberators, Mitchells, and Venturas, escorted by Lightnings and Warhawks, bombed and strafed Kiska. Hits were scored among anti-aircraft emplacements and on the runway. Eight fires were started in the camp area,"—B.O.W.
