WEEKEND ACCIDENTS

Nine accidents over the weekend re-! quired the attendance of the Free! Ambulance, and in each case the in- \ jured person was taken to hospital. \ Three of the accidents occurred at football. Raymond Isaac, student, 47 Ava Street, Petone, fractured his collarbone playing football at Wakefield Park. David Gifford, Wellington College, fractured his right leg playing football on the school grounds. Mr. J. G. Wyeth, drainlayer, 206 Taranaki Street, fractured a rib in a match at the Petone Recreation Ground. Mr. M. Harris, carpenter, 17 Petone Avenue, caught his coat as he was jumping over a gate and dislocated his right shoulder. Mr. D. Williams, printer, 60 Maida Vale Road, suffered a scalp wound and concussion in a fall at Roseneath. Mr. A. Flavell, clerk, 8 Waripori Street, fell at his home and received a compound fracture of his left leg. Mr. C. Shran, waterside worker, 48 Devonshire Road, was struck on the chin by a barrel at the wharf and suffered concussion. Mr. A, B. Brown, caretaker, Wellesley Club received a lacerated wound to his scalp in a fall at the club. Mrs. J. -Hipkins, 46 Oban Street, fractured her right arm in a fall.
