FOOD PRICE PROTESTS
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —I have read much about the high prices of fruit and vegetables. I am the wife of a soldier and the mother of a soldier, and I have no personal complaint, but I cannot help wondering now the mothers of young families can possibly buy meat, fish, fruit, and vegetables to maintain health. In all fairness we must give credit and thanks to the Government for many blessings we enjoy, such as Social Security and medical- services, etc. Nevertheless when we women try to help and show them how the people's pockets are being drained by profitmongers they should sit up and take notice, and not behave like peevish children. We women do not need a broadcast of "the muck rake," Strange as it may seem, I must still remain' , A GOVERNMENT SUPPORTER.
