STARTING HOUSEKEEPING

(To the Editor.) Sir, —"Oh where, oh where can those saucepans be, and those blankets too?" is the cry of just another "newly-wed." Just now and since last November I have managed with one blanket lent by parents, but with winter coming they will want this back. Could not a small quantity be made for t people such as we just starting out in married life? There must be hundreds or even thousands in the same position. Now as for saucepans, I wonder if any of the Ministers have tried to cook a three-course dinner in two saucepans. No? Then try it and you will not wonder why I, along with many others, feel just FED UP.
