CANADIAN CORVETTE LOST
RUGBY, February 16.
The Canadian Minister of the Navy announces, according to an Ottawa message, the sinking of the Canadian corvette Louisburg, with the loss oi 38 lives, as a result of dive-bombel and torpedo-plane attacks while con« voying in the Mediterranean. She ii the first Canadian craft to be destroyed by air attack, and the first to be losi in the North African campaign.— ■ 8.0. W.
