TWO NAVAL AIRMEN
The Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) has received advice that the King has been pleased to give orders for the following appointments to the Distinguished Service Order, and to approve the following awards: — v For bravery and sustained devotion to duty in many air operations from Malta:—The Distinguished Service Cross: Temporary Acting Sub-Lieu-tenant (A) John Alexander Cramp, R.N.Z.N.V.R. For bravery and devotion to duty in air operations in the Western Desert: — The Distinguished Service Cross: Temporary Sub-Lieutenant (A) Alexander Brunt, R.N.Z.N.V.R. Temporary Acting Sub-Lieutenant (A) J. A. Cramp left New Zealand as naval airman second class in August, 1940, for service in the Royal Navy, and was prqrAoted to his present rank in July, 1941. Temporary Sub-Lieutenant (A) A. Brunt also left New Zealand as naval airman second class in August, 1940, for service in the Royal Navy, heing promoted to his present rank in July, 1941.
